Feedback
CD review by Ritchie Champagne
Venerable rock legends Rush released the first of their many albums in 1974. Later that same year, drummer John Rutsey left the band and was replaced by current stick man Neil Peart. Thirty years later, the trio continues to fill stadiums and sell recordings. They decided to celebrate this milestone anniversary with both a tour and a new 30 minute EP, Feedback. The compilation is housed in a mini album style package with retro artwork that harks back to the era from which the material was drawn.

This release is different from all other Rush albums in that it is comprised completely of cover songs, marking the first time Rush has released non-original material. Peart writes in the liner notes: "We thought it would be a fitting symbol to commemorate our thirty years together if we returned to our roots and paid tribute to those we had learned from and were inspired by."
