Liquidrone performed a solid, tight set very similar, if not identical, to the last few shows I’ve seen. The band unleashed a furious onslaught of sound. Marty Lastrapes kicked off the set with the distorted bass line of Subway Diver which was followed by two Liquidrone classics dating back to the orchestral lineup: Forbidden Valentine and Melting. During Forbidden Valentine, Maedgen pounded out a furious beat on his pots and pans. Once loose and strewn about at his feet, Maedgen’s kitchenware is now firmly bolted to a board, making for a stable percussive assembly. All the while, The Turk showered the audience with blasts from a seemingly never ending parade of confetti cannons.
