I
thought this arrangement was fantastic as it showcased many different sides
of the band. Unfortunately, as usual, my opinion didn’t jibe with
popular opinion as Maedgen told me later. “I don’t
think people knew how to take it,” he said. “It was a little
confusing for most people.” Lately,
another aspect of the Bingo! Show has been absorbed into
Liquidrone. This one, I think, will persevere.
Bingo! incorporated a troop of actors led by Ronnie Numbers.
Numbers and fellow Bingo! alums The
Turk and Dawn Bourgeois provide a visual counterpoint
to the sounds the musicians are creating. At this House Of Blues show
in the tiny, packed upstairs Parish Room, Numbers’
crew are headquartered at a small table laden with alcohol and oversized
playing cards that is positioned on a riser at the front of the stage.

From
there, the trio can easily interact with the fans. At this show, the actors
spend less time roaming about the room, sticking mainly to the stage,
probably due to the density of the crowd in this small venue. |
