Three and a half years ago I wrote a piece on Liquidrone. So much and yet so little has changed since then. The unfortunate constant aspect of the Liquidrone experience is that, at every show, two things will happen:

1. at least one of the enthusiastic fans dancing, um, enthusiastically will be in dire need of deodorant
2. my significant other will get at least a portion of a drink spilled on her

The June 24, 2005 House Of Blues show was no exception to these rules. I realize that the band cannot be blamed for drunken or non hygienic state of some of their fans, though, so we’ll leave this topic here and move on.

What has changed about Liquidrone is that they have become a tighter unit. Some of the early shows for this lineup were a bit rough and ragged. After a lengthy layoff while front man Clint Maedgen concentrated on his other band, the all but defunct Bingo!, the band is back with a vengeance. For a while after the cessation of the Bingo! Show, Liquidrone absorbed quite a few songs from the Bingo! oeuvre, performing their shows in three sets:

1. a quieter, mellow set consisting mainly of Bingo! along with a few of the more appropriate Liquidrone tracks
2. the standard Liquidrone set with keyboards and loops
3. a final, short super heavy set sans keyboards and with extra guitar
