| In
these days of formulaic rock music it is surprising that the biggest breath
of fresh air comes from a 57 year old rock legend who released his first
record in 1964. After more than a decade of intriguing but inconsistent
recordings, David Bowie has created a powerful and solid CD with
the release of Reality. Combining all of the best parts of Bowie's
last ten years of recorded output into one varied yet coherent album well
deserving of the generally favorable reviews it has so far received but
even more deserving of decent airplay and sales of which it has not benefited.
Sluggish sales notwithstanding, Bowie has obviously felt reenergized
by Reality and has as a result embarked on his first world tour
in almost a decade. |
