The
2005 Remasters CD review by Ritchie Champagne |
|
|
The
legacy treatment of Adam Ant’s recordings that began in 2004
continues with the remastering, repackaging, and rereleasing the first
three discs recorded following the breakup of the Ants. Guitarist/co-songwriter
Marco Pirroni is the sole surviving Ant, remaining loyally
by Adam’s side. Unfortunately, as with the first three titles
in this reissue program (see story here),
these titles are only available in Europe. A US release is possible but
as of yet has not been announced. The titles in this batch are, of course,
Friend Or Foe, Strip, and Vive Le Rock. Additionally,
a limited edition boxed set with a bonus disc, Redux, has been
released. (More on that later.) These new editions contain additional
rare and unreleased tracks, complete lyrics, and period photography.
