After a year, maybe more, we realized we had more than an album's worth of material. We thought it was time to do something with it! We got together with our other pool playing friend Tim Thompson, and put on some fab gear and started posing for pictures. I then sat down and wrote the "History" of the band. I decided to contact a few record labels. The first one suggested was TWIST RECORDS. This is the letter I sent to them:

What started off as a joke ended with an incredible collection of lo-fi psych classics.

In 1997, in small town USA, two friends created on paper a fake history of a fake band and upon completion, submitted it to a web page that features obscure Psych acts. The editor of that page insisted that before he would post it that he must first hear the music, as he suspected it was a joke. Quickly, the two friends put together a song, retired into their 4-track studio an emerged with "Walter Ghoul's Lavender Brigade Is Coming". They sent it off and one week later they noticed the page was posted. This excited them so much that they continued to write and record, all the while updating the editor of the web page.
