One of the first things they did was start doing radio spots and recording new songs. They also took on a manager, Anthony Latino, and increased their presence on the live scene.

Damien:"We just said yes to everything! I had never done that before. I wanted to see where it would take us. Someone comes along and says 'I CAN MAKE YOU FAMOUS!' We would say 'GREAT! WHAT DO YOU WANT US TO DO!' This led to some odd dealings. We did an epic recording session with Jack Berry that led to nothing but hard feelings and a bunch of songs in the can. Jack was really sweet and I loved recording with him but when it was time to mix - that's when it all went sour. We also did a television appearance on a local cable show that I refuse to even watch, I think the guy doing the show said we were going to be the next Better Than Ezra! We recorded "Apricot Sunday" and started doing local radio. Then we did it! We went into the studio to record JUNO'S GARDEN. When it started, we thought this was going to be the best fucking pop cd ever! Half way through it started to seem like an alright album. By the time they were doing the final mix I went into the dark vocal room an wrote "No More Shoulders." The opening lines 'Radio songs float through the skies all in vein'... I started to think... Who cares! I know I wasn't the only one! "
